Hello everyone!!
I’m Marta, I come from Spain and I am the founder of Essaouira Horse Paradise.
Who We Are
Essaouira Horse Paradise was founded in 2024 by Marta, creator of Essaouira Dreamers, after moving from Spain to Morocco to follow a long-standing passion for horses, nature, and authentic human connection.
What began as a personal journey quickly became a shared project built around a simple but powerful idea: to create horse experiences rooted in respect, emotional connection, and the wellbeing of the animals above everything else.
As the project grew, a dedicated local team joined to bring it to life on a daily basis.
The experience is guided by three horse-riding guides who lead the excursions and share their knowledge of the region and the horses. Anissa takes care of all bookings and guest coordination, ensuring smooth communication and organization behind the scenes. Reda is a partner in the project, supporting the care of the horses and contributing his local experience and close relationship with the animals.
Together, this team creates a balanced and grounded environment where both guests and horses feel safe, respected, and connected.
Beyond the horses of the project, Marta always carried a very special bond with another horse, Capo, who belonged to a different stable. After losing him once, she found him again months later, a moment that gave even deeper meaning to everything she was building. Today, Capo is Marta’s personal horse and is often considered the “king of the stable”, a symbol of that unbreakable connection.
With all of them, a much bigger dream continued to grow: creating a true home for horses, based on respect, care, and freedom.
But the project soon evolved into something even more meaningful — a small place of refuge for life itself, where animals are always welcome and cared for whenever possible. Stray dogs and cats that cross our path also become part of this philosophy of compassion and protection.
Today, Essaouira Horse Paradise reflects a simple but powerful idea: when a vision comes from the heart and is supported by the right people, it can become real.
A place where every experience is designed to reflect what started it all: love for animals, freedom, nature, and genuine emotion.
Where We Are?
Sidi Kaouki is a unique spot on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, known for its long wild beaches and peaceful atmosphere.
It is also a popular surfing destination thanks to its consistent waves and Atlantic winds. But above all, it stands out for its wide open spaces, perfect for horseback riding in nature. A place where the sea, wind, and desert meet in perfect harmony.
Our Journey
I came to Morocco to learn how to ride horses. I was a complete beginner and, to be honest, I was still afraid of them. I never imagined I would fall in love with them the way I did.
In 2023, I met Reda, and just two months later we welcomed our first two horses, Ithaca and Maktub. Their names were carefully chosen, just like the names of every horse who has joined our family since. Ithaca reminds us that the journey is as important as the destination, while Maktub—an Arabic word meaning “it is written”—reminds us that some things are simply meant to be.
We started in a small stable owned by Reda’s family in Diabat, where our dream quietly began. Little by little, our family started to grow—Najem, Emur, Amigo, Hercules, Midnight, Sentinel, and many more.
Although my dream had always been to help animals, especially stray dogs, Morocco completely changed my relationship with horses. I fell in love with them in a way I never expected, and they became the path that allowed me to dedicate my life to helping animals.
Then there was Capo. He was the first horse I ever fell in love with in Essaouira, and after losing track of him, finding him again in 2024 felt like fate. He became the reason Essaouira Horse Paradise exists. Creating our own stable meant giving him the life he deserved while also giving me the opportunity to help stray dogs and cats along the way.
In 2025, we moved to Sidi Kaouki, where our horses now live surrounded by nature and enjoy the freedom they deserve.
Today, our family is home to fifteen wonderful horses. Reda and I are united by one simple mission: to give every animal in our care a life filled with love, respect, and kindness.
And this is only the beginning.
